Carly Matthews

History and role

Carly graduated from the University of Plymouth with a 1st Class BA (Hons) in Business Studies. Her course and twelve month placement provided valuable transferable skills. This enabled her to secure her role at Scientific Services in 2007 through the Unlocking Cornish Potential scheme.

She has since completed an IAB book keeping course and achieved a Chartered Institute of Marketing - Marketing Diploma. These courses have enabled her to succeed in her role of Office Manager.

Her role involves client account management, managing sales and co-ordinating bookings.

Developing and maintaining the company’s website and social media accounts are key to her role.

In more recent years, Carly has been lucky enough to have two amazing children. This has meant she has adopted a flexible working pattern.

Personal interests

Carly enjoys travelling, riding horses and swimming in the sea. She loves to spend time with her family and friends. She is an outdoor person, who is at her happiest at the beach, with her family and their much loved Labrador.
