Many of our customers use Royal Mail to post samples to our asbestos testing laboratory in Cornwall. The disruptions to Royal Mail’s services may lead to delays in samples reaching us. The potential knock-on effect being delays in test results.

Potential Solution

The potential issues that the strikes may present can be counter-balanced by using an alternative courier service. There are many providers on the market, but we have found that ‘Parcel2Go.com’ a parcel delivery comparison website, has provided both competitive, and dependable options.

Their systems enable you to browse quotes from several couriers including DPD, Evri, TNT, UPS Collect+ and Parcelforce. Although, Parcelfore is likely to be impacted by the strike action too, so this may be a courier to avoid on the strike dates.

You can opt to have a parcel collected from your home or office. Alternatively, you can drop your parcel at a time convenient to you, to locations across the U.K. Various delivery options are available, so you would still be able to get urgent samples delivered within required timeframes.
