The Covid 19 pandemic has affected individuals and businesses throughout the world. It has presented many challenges for us all.

Throughout this difficult time we have continued to deliver our services. At the beginning of lock down our technical teams completed thorough risk assessments. These highlighted measures needed to continue to support our customers.

With immediate effect, all employees that can do so, began to work from home. Our excellent I.T. infrastructure meant we were able to roll this out quickly.

Our asbestos testing services needed to operate out of our laboratory. Our risk assessments led to us putting the following safety measures in place:

  • To reduce the number of analysts working at any given time, we implemented shift working patterns.
  • We reconfigured our laboratory to ensure that our team can keep safe distances of 2 metres. To facilitate this, we have taken certain desks out of use.
  • We have also set up a safe, sample drop off system. Our customers no longer need to enter the building.
  • We have stationed sanitisation systems throughout our laboratory and provided antibacterial wipes. These resources have also been made available to all site based employees.
  • We complete all team meetings via Microsoft teams.
  • If possible, electronic payments from clients are being requested.
  • Our UKAS accreditation assessment has been conducted remotely.

Our site based employees continue to deliver our asbestos air testing and asbestos survey services. When on site, we ensure that we adhere to social distancing guidelines and wear masks at all times. Our aim is to protect and help to reduce the spread of the virus. We want to continue to be on hand to assist with your asbestos and Legionella management needs.
