Scientific Services Participates in the following External Quality Assurance Programmes:
- Regular Interlaboratory Counting Scheme (RICE), this is run by the Health and Safety Laboratory.
- Asbestos in Materials Scheme (AIMS), this is run by the Health and Safety Laboratory.
- Drinking Water External Quality Assurance (EQA) for laboratories offering microbiological examinations of water, this is run by the Health Protection Agency.
- Food External Quality Assurances (EQA) for laboratories offering microbiological examinations of food, this is run by the Health Protection Agency.
